Ultrasonic thickness gauge.

No couplant
up to 7 mm

Operation with EMAT with a pulsed electromagnet, with conventional EMAT with a permanent magnet and with classic piezoelectric transducers
EM1501 thickness gauge inspects steel pipes, sheet metal, rods, and other products made from steel, aluminum and other metals in the convenient, fast and reliable way.
The EM1501 is based on the latest scientific developments in the field of non-destructive testing and the extensive experience of Oktanta engineers. The device measures thickness of the metal through a gap of up to 7 mm (the largest value compared to the other EMA thickness gauges).
A special high-temperature transducer allows inspection of hot objects heated up to 750 °C.
Just bring the transducer to the surface of the object being tested
The EM1501 allows the user to analyze A-scans, visualize B-scans, save data on C-scans and work with gates, select a thickness measurement mode, signal processing parameters, etc.
Works both on flat surfaces and on surfaces with a radius of curvature of 10 mm and more

The EM1501 has two independent measuring channels: EMA and Piezoelectric, that ensuring increased inspection reliability. Piezoelectric transducers are recommended for applications where the thickness of deposits on the metal surface prevents the use of EMA transducers and surface cleaning is required.
The EM1501 can operate with:
• EMA transducers with a pulsed electromagnet that does not stick to dirt
• piezoelectric transducers:
– transducer 5 MHz, aperture diameter is 10 mm,
– transducer 5 MHz, aperture diameter is 7.2 mm,
– transducer 10 MHz, aperture diameter is 5 mm.
• standard EMA transducers with a permanent magnet.
